Published from April 1950 by Amalgamated Press, Cowboy Picture Library (they also wore the banner Cowboy Comics and All in Pictures at various times) ran to 468 issues and was the first post war, pocket sized library to be produced by this publisher (see also www.thrillerpicturelibrary.co.uk and www.superdetectivelibrary.co.uk). The comics depicted various real or fictional western heroes - for instance Buck Jones, Kit Carson, Kansas Kid and Davy Crockett. See the history of the series - link at left.
